Year of completion
Shifting TBM for 190m and making orientation at the center of the tunnel by using skidding and jacking system.
TBM Weight
600 Tons
Added Value to the Customer:
· This operation successfully completed a critical phase of the infrastructure project, ensuring minimal disruption and enhancing the project's overall efficiency.
· The use of innovative systems and precise engineering contributed to a cost-effective, high-quality solution that ensures the project remains on track for timely completion.
Engineering Concept:
· The project involved transporting a Tunnel Boring Machine (TBM) over a distance of 190 meters using the Skidding System. This operation required in-depth analysis and careful planning to manage complex challenges, such as a ground-level difference of over 150 cm.
· The task was executed with precision, ensuring the safe transfer of the TBM from the cradle to the steel bell.
Fast-Track Solution:
· Weight Management: Specialized hydraulic systems were employed to safely support and move the TBM, ensuring stability throughout the operation.
· Precise Movement: The Skidding System, combined with hydraulic lifting units, enabled controlled and accurate positioning of the TBM across the ground difference.
Systems in Use:
· Skidding System: This advanced system was used to facilitate the smooth, controlled movement of the TBM over the specified distance.
· Hydraulic Lifting Jacks: These were utilized to manage the heavy lifting and ensure stability during the process.
