Skidding For Glass Printing Machine

Location: 6 October, Giza Governorate, Egypt.

2024

Year of completion

Skidding of Glass Printing Machine 15 T

Machine Weight:

15-tons

Project Owner

Ministry of industry And Trade, Egypt

Added Value to the Customer:

· The 15-ton glass printing machine was successfully moved and positioned within a tight factory space, ensuring smooth operations and minimal downtime.

Engineering Concept:

· The main challenge was maneuvering the heavy machine through a narrow entrance and rotating it 90 degrees in a confined space.

Fast Track Solution:

· The machine was first lifted using a crane to the factory entrance.

· Once inside, the Skidding system was employed to slide the machine into place.

· To rotate the machine 90 degrees, the Skidding system and Teflon pads were used together, allowing smooth, controlled movement despite the space constraints.

System in Use:

· The Skidding system, combined with Teflon pads, enabled frictionless movement, allowing the machine to be rotated and positioned correctly within the narrow factory space without any damage.
