Moreover,\nwe strictly follow high safety norms and standards during work operations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n<h2>Engineering Concept:<\/h2>\n<p style=\"font-size: large; font-family: Montserrat; color: rgb(0, 0, 0);\"><span style=\"font-family: Symbol; font-size: 18.6667px; text-align: justify; text-indent: -24px;\">\u00b7&nbsp;<\/span>The TBM Machine is a Tunnel boring machine used here in this project to excavate tunnels for the Metro Line No. 4 in Greater Cairo.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-size: large; font-family: Montserrat; text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: rgb(0, 0, 0); font-family: Symbol; font-size: 18.6667px; text-indent: -24px;\">\u00b7&nbsp;<\/span>The machine was lowered in small pieces through a small opening to the bottom of the Metro station (about 35 meters underground), and at this level, the cranes could no longer help the process of\nassembling the machine parts or sliding it.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-size: large; font-family: Montserrat; color: rgb(0, 0, 0); text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-family: Symbol; font-size: 18.6667px; text-indent: -24px;\">\u00b7&nbsp;<\/span>Now, the importance of our Skidding solutions comes to helping our client in all the processes of assembling the machine\nparts and re-positioning the machine at the zero point or the starting point of\nexcavation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n<h2>Fast Track Solution:<\/h2>\n<p style=\"font-size: large; font-family: Montserrat; color: rgb(0, 0, 0);\"><span style=\"color: rgb(29, 29, 29); font-family: Wingdings; font-size: 18.6667px; text-indent: -24px;\">v<\/span> Stages of the skidding and repositioning process of the TBM\nmachine:<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: rgb(29, 29, 29); font-family: Wingdings; font-size: 18.6667px; text-indent: -24px;\">\u00d8<\/span> <span style=\"font-size: large; font-family: Montserrat; color: rgb(0, 0, 0);\">Assembly phase: We used a skidding system to help assemble the machine parts.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"font-size: large; font-family: Montserrat; color: rgb(0, 0, 0); text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: rgb(29, 29, 29); font-family: Wingdings; font-size: 18.6667px; text-indent: -24px;\">\u00d8<\/span> Lateral movement phase:\nAfter we finished the assembly phase, we started the process of lifting the\nwhole machine using the hydraulic jacking system in order to be able to\nreorient the sliding rails underneath it in the direction perpendicular to the\ncurrent direction.
